What the site provides

The workbench offers HTML escaping and unescaping, JSON string escaping and unescaping, URL encoding and decoding, JavaScript regex literal escaping, and Markdown punctuation escaping. The site also provides practical guides and examples.

The tools handle particular formats and contexts. They are not a complete software-development service, a security audit, an encryption system or a guarantee that a value will work in every application.

Your input and your result

You are responsible for having the right to use any text you enter and for checking the output in its intended environment. Avoid passwords, private keys, confidential records and other sensitive material.

Keep a source copy if a result matters. Different systems may impose their own syntax, data-size limits, encoding rules and security requirements. A successful conversion in this workbench does not verify those conditions.

AutoEscape does not claim ownership of your input or generated output merely because you use a conversion tool. Underlying rights in the original material remain relevant.
